Student project for Fitbit that assists those with heart disease by creating a watch that measures their blood pressure and heart rate. It also includes an app to help them make lifestyle changes and monitor their health.
Problem
The number one cause of death in US for both men and women is heart disease. It accounts for nearly 801,000 deaths in the US. That’s approximately 1/3 of deaths in the US.
Solution
A Fitbit watch that measures an individual's blood pressure and heart rate. As well with an app that helps users keep track of their exercise routines, nutrition and doctor appointments and provides helpful tips to help them make lifestyle changes in order to improve their health.



Under settings users can increase text size.
The average age for individuals with heart disease is 68. Some design considerations were made for the age group of 65 and up. This includes legible text and high contrast for visuals. There is a microphone feature for individuals that have trouble typing and would rather use the microphone to type.
Under Mealplan users can see suggested diets to treat heart disease.
